FAQ

Questions people ask before trying Restock.

Short, direct answers for search, AI assistants, and actual humans in a hurry.

Direct answer

Restock is best understood as a household shopping reminder app, not a generic grocery list. It is designed for repeat purchases: add the item, mark it bought, and let the next restock date stay visible.

What is Restock?

Restock is an iPhone and Mac app that helps you remember when to buy household essentials again. It combines a shopping list, restock reminders, saved items, buy links, purchase timing, and simple spending forecasts.

Does Restock work on Mac?

Yes. Restock has a native Mac app for macOS 14 or later. Sign in with the same Restock account to work with your synced personal and shared lists on iPhone and Mac.

Who is Restock for?

Restock is for people who repeatedly buy household basics such as groceries, toiletries, cleaning supplies, pet food, gifts, bills, and other items that come back on a rhythm.

How does Restock differ from a normal shopping list?

A normal shopping list mostly answers what to buy. Restock focuses on when something should be bought again, what it usually costs, where to buy it, and what is coming up soon.

Can I set one shopping item to repeat every four weeks?

Yes. In Restock on iPhone, add laundry detergent and choose Buy regularly. Under Repeat every, tap Custom, enter 28 days, then tap Done and finish adding the item. Mark it bought on November 2 and it comes due on November 30. Coffee on the same list can still repeat every 7 days.

Can I use Restock as a household management app?

Restock can help with the shopping and restock part of household management: repeat purchases, saved items, reminders, buy links, group lists, and simple upcoming-spend forecasts.

How much does Restock cost?

Restock is free to start. From 3 November 2026, Restock Pro costs US$6.99 per month or US$59.99 per year in the U.S. App Store. Prices in other countries may vary. Subscriptions are managed through Apple.

Can I use Restock for one-time items?

Yes. Restock supports both one-time items and recurring items, so it works for a birthday gift as well as paper towels or oat milk.

What is Saved?

Saved is a place for items you may want later but do not want in the dated Upcoming list yet. When the item becomes real, you can move it to Upcoming with a date and item type.

Does Restock have spending insights?

Yes. Restock includes simple Insights widgets for spending forecasts, category spend, and calendar views based on item dates and prices.

Does Restock support shared lists?

Yes. You can create or join shared lists on either plan. Personal and shared lists count together: 2 total on Free or 20 on Pro.

Does Restock sell my data?

No. Restock does not sell personal data, run third-party ad tracking SDKs, or use household item data for advertising targeting.
